My marketing experience is in B2B (9 yrs) and B2C (9yrs) both BTL & ATL.

At Samsung I was the Digital Lead for New Zealand managing a team of two and all things digital for the business; ecommerce store, website, social media & digital advertising. Design

Before my marketing career I was a graphic designer and then an interactive designer and developer. I have many years design experience.

I have a Bachelor of Design (Visual Communication) and was responsible for marketing and design at Nasdaq, Thomson Reuters and Thomson Financial for over 8.5 years. I would create the marketing strategy, write copy, and design for digital or print and do the reporting end-to-end.

I have created marketing campaigns using Canva in multiple roles, and wireframes and mockups using Figma in my last two roles at Harmoney and Employment Hero.

In most of my marketing roles I have briefed in either internal design teams or managed and briefed in external creative and PR agencies including; Ogilvy, Lavender, Alt, Publicis, Marcel, Vivaki, Sprinklr, Launchlink, Kaimera and more.

Writing

I have extensive copywriting and communications experience and have written for all formats across digital, OOH, TV, radio and print for over 18 years.

I have written for; emails, case studies, white papers, print ads, digital ads (Google Ads, Meta Ads, Bing Ads), social media, TV ads, radio ads, direct mail, product brochures, apps, product platforms, SEO optimised copy for websites, SEO optimised copy for blogs, annual reports, PR releases and more. Examples of my writing are all over this website including the portfolio pages.

As a side hustle under my Supr business, I’m a freelance journalist writing feature stories and advertorials for Waterford Press in New Zealand—for multiple business and farming publications; Business South, Business Central, Business North, Business Rural South, Rural North, NZ Dairy and more.

Eight years leadership experience

I have over 8 years leaders leadership experience and have a Certificate in Leadership Excellence from Harvard Business School. I have led small teams in many of my marketing roles for major brands including at; Employment Hero, American Express, Samsung, Thomson Reuters, Thomson Financial.

My leadership style is mostly a mix of coaching and supporting styles, but occasionally I use delegation and directing leadership styles if required.

I have managed marketing interns, marketing coordinators, marketing managers, graphic designers, digital specialists, customer service specialists, a developer, teams of external developers, plus external agencies and partners.

I highly recommend Nicki Woodlock for any leadership or marketing management role. Nicki is a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and a talent for leading high-performing teams.
